TV Game shows

What is your favorite TV game show?

I love Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, The Chase . . . trivia questions or problem solving types of game shows. Another show I enjoyed watching (before they went off the air) was Minute to Win It.

I recently found this one from the UK: Five minutes to a fortune. That's really a toughy. But fun to watch!

Do you watch TV game shows? What's your favorite?

I have been binge-watching old reruns of You Bet Your Life with Groucho Marx, on Youtube. The questions were fairly simple by today's standards and it's amazing how many people did not know the answers.

Plus, it's hilarious!

My friends and family are on a "8 out of 10 cats does Countdown" kick:

I love The Chase, Pointless, and Tenable.

I adore the US version of The Chase [will (secretly) watch Brooke Burns films as a result], but equally love the UK version - we have Old Frosty Knickers [The Governess], The Dark Destroyer, The Sinner Man, The Vixen, as well as The Beast.

Pointless has the aim of scoring the fewest points with each answer, and pointless answers add £250 to the jackpot [this is the BBC, so the jackpot is meagre].

Tenable is guessing the 'top ten crisp flavours' or the 'ten countries of the world that match X criteria' or the 'last ten winners of the World Cup'.  I have it recorded, so I can zip through the sport questions.

Million Pound Drop is like 8 Out of 10 Cats does Countdown*: when I come across it, it's great, but I always forget to look for it.  It's as tense as Who Want to be a Millionaire in a similar-but-different way [contestants start with £1 million, and try not to lose any before the final question].
