It's lovely that the momentum is keeping up an interesting range of topics, and I really appreciate the light-touch moderating!
I was reading a thread [can't remember what, but it was doing that thing of two posters quoting each other in an increasingly unwieldy chain whilst pointing out how the other was
absolutely wrong about the issue], and it suddenly occurred to me: "in the old days, this thread would have been locked by now", and I just sighed a gentle breath of happiness that we are allowed to get contentious if we wish, and just ignore threads if we find that sort of thing irritating.
