1.  I think it would be nice to mention apps and sweets on the invitation.

2.  Is there a reason that the parents-to-be or the hostess cannot ship the gifts wherever they want?  That would be the most logical and gracious way to handle it.  It would be one package, packed and shipped however they want.  I don't understand why they can't do it.

It's been that way for me, too.  The other cats just go about their business as usual.  Maybe they know long before we do and prepare?  I don't know.  I'm the one left looking around for my baby.  It gets better with time, but with some of my kitties, I still look every once in a while.  Then I smile when I remember how wonderful they were.  Lots of hugs.  I know it's hard.

I am so sorry for your loss.  I'm sure he loved you very much.

I've been following along and wanted to say Congratulations!  That is great news!  In the beginning, I thought they were just stringing you along, but you persevered.  I don't know that I would have had as much patience as you, but I'm so happy you were rewarded for it (and for all of your hard work!).  Although I can't do it physically, in my mind I'm doing the Toyota jump for you!  YAY!

It would be iffy, but I might eat my husband's leftovers, depending on the food.  After all, I do kiss him.  He would be the only one.  I understand that heating something up might kill the germs, but it doesn't get rid of the ick factor.  Cutting the hens in half is a great idea, and they could be arranged to look nice on the plate.

Our pill splitter does tiny pills (it can also be called a pill cutter).  And they aren't expensive.  Husband takes meds that he has to split.

I would try harder to find a home mailing address.  I would really be upset if someone sent personal mail to my workplace.  I keep my personal business completely separate from my work.  Have you tried a general google search on her name to see what comes up?  I like the idea of sending the card---just not to work.

In the moment, I would have probably let out a spontaneous "Aaak!" while looking down at my plate.  Then stumbled around explaining that I wanted to try the escargot.  That's not very refined, but that's probably what I would have done automatically.  With the current prices, I seldom go out to eat anymore, so I'd almost guarantee that's what I would say.  I wouldn't keep quiet.  That's for sure.

I hope you find an answer because I have the same problem.  My kitty (Zephyr) was also 13 when it started.  The only difference is that Zephyr would poop on paper, cloth, or anything left on the floor.  So in a spot that was favored, we put out a plastic grocery bag and flattened it out.  He uses that spot and every day we pick up the bag, tie it shut and replace it with a new one.

I hope someone knows why he does it and how I can fix it.

A lot of those things, I keep in my purse, car, or work locker.  For some odd reason, I also keep a small, charged flashlight, tape measure and eyeglass repair kit.  And I've needed and used all three multiple times.  I really don't think the list is bad.  To me, it sounds planned and prepared.
