I bought Little Remedies New Baby Essentials Kit (6 piece kit for babies nose and tummy) for my great niece.  It wasn't on her registry but just threw it in my Amazon cart.  Her baby got really sick and she was panicking because she didn't know where she was going to get a saline spray for babies in the middle of the night but then she remembered the essentials kit.  Came in really handy!

Thank you gramma dishes!  The first time the dog jumped on me I didn't have a chance to put my knee up.  All of a sudden his paws were on my chest.  I pushed him down with his forehead.  The next time I did get my knee up and gently pushed and the second time too.  Both times he actually sat and looked at me like I was crazy, lol.  I praised him and he didn't jump again!  Yeah!!!!!!

I have the same problem with the dogs that live with my grandkids.  They're very happy, nice dogs but no one has trained them.  They jump on you, if I open my car door when they're outside they'll jump in my car, one jumped on the side of my car and scratched it.  Granted my car is 2 years old now but it's the first brand new car I've ever owned. :-(  One of the dogs launched itself off my foot and left 4 scratches on the top of my foot which later turned into bruises.  I love my grandkids but hate going to pick them up.  I'm going to try the head push and say down.  I'm not sure if it will work.  The owners of the dogs will yell at the dogs to get down but that works for a minute and they're back to jumping and barking.  Worth a try, right?

Food / Re: Fudge Recipes

I finally got around to making peanut butter fudge.  It actually turned out!  Unlike my previous attempt where my fudge came out all liquid - better for ice cream topping than fudge, lol.

I might try again tomorrow.  Maybe peanut butter fudge.   ;D   Either that or peanut butter cookies.  Thank you everyone for your suggestions!

Food / Fudge Recipes
« on: April 13, 2020, 01:10:29 pm »
Does anyone have any fudge recipes?  Anything with ingredients that do not include chocolate chips or marshmellow fluff.  I can't (don't want to actually) go to the stores just for a few ingredients.  I tried making some fudge but it wouldn't harden properly.  It's worse than "spoon fudge" lol.  The ingredients were sugar, hershey cocoa powder, milk, vanilla and butter.  I have 2% milk so maybe that's why it didn't set?  I do have condensed and evaported milk tho'.  Help!!!!  and thank you in advance!!

The best one I ever got was a magnifier glass.  It was plastic and the size and width of a credit card.  Mine is all scratched up now but I used it a lot.

My GD will be 5 soon.  She, DM, her other GM and DB were taking a walk.  It was cloudy with some fog in the hills.  My GD says "That's not good" her DM asked what's not good and she said "the clouds fell, that means it's going to get wet again".  Future weather forecaster?  :D

Turned on the AC so I could finish two crocheting projects, a chevron (ripple) afghan and a Modern Granny shrug.

I'm jealous!  I'm a beginner at crocheting and I tried to make a chevron afghan. After ripping it out countless times, I've given up.  It's become apparent I can't crochet and count to 11 at the same time, lol.  After the upteenth attempt the rows were actually coming out right but the end was wonky.  I switched to double crocheting.  Way easier, lol
