Leo and Jemmy
« on: December 13, 2020, 09:16:39 pm »

I mentioned in my "New Adventure" that I'm working on socializing two kittens and TNR for the adults of the forming colony around my house/my neighbor's house.

Well, the kittens have now both been neutered.  Jemmy is still pretty shy (prefers to be under the bed when I'm in the bedroom), but Leo ... well, he seems to be saying that this indoor life is pretty fine.

Yes, Leo looks quite comfy on the bed.  He may never want to leave.  Is Jemmy sneaking out from under the bed yet?

Jemmy comes out at night (I know I'm snuggling with Leo close to my face when I feel another cat arrive around my feet), and he'll be out during the day but jumps down right away if I go into the bedroom (since that's the only way currently to get to my bathroom).  But he's starting to hesitate, so I'm hoping he'll soon stay out where he can be seen and I can get another picture of Jemmy.

Jemmy says. "Cousin Leo is right."

Awww...she (?) came out.  Is she getting used to her new surroundings?  Do the two of them snuggle together?

They're both boys (Jemmy was my formation for a boy cat from the female cat in the musical Jenny-any-dots taking from the description of a "coat of the tabby kind with tiger stripes and leopard spots" since many of his stripes are actually formed by dots), and they definitely play together and hang out together.  They don't seem to be quite as bonded as they were when they lived outside, but maybe that was not so much a bonding thing as a mutual protection plan.

It's snowing here, something that the boys haven't experienced (since they were probably born April/May last year), but they're still pretty content to be inside.

Sometimes, the boys are just totally tuckered.
