Truth be told I wore black at my own wedding. That was back in my biker days. Black leather skirt, Black vest, White camisole underneath, black heels and a black hat.
LDH was going to change into a black dress shirt to go with his black jeans, but got to busy interacting with the guests before the ceremony began. He wore a Broken Spoke t-shirt . . . and, yes, I did pin the boutonnière on his t-shirt. We laughed about that.
I say to each his own. Why stress so much about what's in style, etiquettely correct, etc. It's the person's attendance that is most important . . . not what they wear.
